Alienocalypse Is Released!

Alienocalypse is now live, go give it a play here.

I’m very happy with the results, I think it turned out to be a very nice game!  It’s been a long journey, but it’s also been fun.  I have actually done more than just programming for this game!  I’ve made a couple of the animations – and adjusted even more.  I edited the sound effects so they would fit the game (fx making the building collapse sound NOT last 5 sec) . I also helped out with game design and some of the user interface.

I also want you to notice how the sound effects work in the game!  If you’re right of a sound event, it’ll be played in your right speaker (and the other way around) and your distance to it will determine the volume.  It’s not something I’ve seen in many flash games, and at least it’s something I’m proud that I made!

Thanks

I didn’t really do this after releasing my first game, so it’s about time to thank some people!

Steven (Yama Games) has helped me out several times with some good advice!  If not for him I would probably only have made 1/3 of what  I did from this game.

Vlad (Vortix Games Studio) has also given me lots of good advices!  I’ve also used some of his Bold Pixel Engine in my projects, so also big thanks for releasing that!

Michael James Williams is a big part of the reasons I’m able to make this post. If it wasn’t for his great beginner tutorials, I don’t think I would have made it this far.  He has also always been cheering when I showed him one of my crappy prototypes.  So thanks mate (also check the credits).

Family and other friends who helped me along the path (and also playtested the game)

All the guys at Berzerk Studio :)

Anybody else who deserves thanks :)
